Austin and I both got a deer. Austin made a great shot and dropped the deer at 200 yards. The other deer ran and stopped. I shot the doe on the left and it ran off. We found it 50 yards away. He dropped the big one with a 243 Win. My smaller doe ran off after being shot with a 300 Win Mag. Go Figure :)

I was stalk hunting down the mountain. Caught some movement above me and saw a doe coming around the mountain. This buck was following her. I shot him. He ran 30 yards and tumbled down the mountain. I didn't notice the broken beam when I shot him. There's a chance he broke it on the tumble down the mountain. The break looked clean. I looked for the broken beam but didn't find it. I marked the path he took on the GPS. I plan to look again when the snow has melted. The right beam scored 61 B&C. Was 9.5" to center of head. Would've scored around 140B&C with both sides. Right beam is 61 inches. Spread to middle of skull is 9.5". 61+61+19=141 B&C

I was sitting in the stand and decided to rattle. Five minutes after rattling, I saw the deer coming straight in with his head low and bristled up. He stopped a couple of times - looked around and shook his head. When he got 50-yards out, I could hear him grunting every step. At 40 yards, I decided to shoot due to the wind direction. He was quartering hard toward me. I hit him right behind the front shoulder and the bullet broke the rear leg bone. He ran 30 yards and fell over.

Back Ham - Bullet entered behind front shoulder - Continued through deer and broke back leg bone - lots of penetration for a Ballistic Tip

Austin and I both got a deer. The big one of the right is Austin's Deer (137 lbs). The other one I shot. Austin's came out at 4:45 and he dropped it. At 5:00, three other deer came out. The doe I shot would walk over to the other one and just stare at it. I shot the doe and it ran 40 yards. Austin dragged it out of the cutover. I got both shots and him dragging deer out on video.
